CREATE ALONG WITH US: JANUARY 2016

Hello!

I am stopping in with my first post for 2016. Last year I did not post nearly as much as I did in 2014 so I hope to do better this year!

I love being able to pick a project that inspires me for this challenge. This little bag by Danielle caught my eye:

I decided to make a card using a similar color scheme. Here it is:

I pulled out a piece of Simple Stories patterned paper for my base as well as my Winter Woods stamps and dies (which I am using for the first time!) I added some twine and enamel dots as well. I attempted to add a sentiment to the front, but could not find a spot for it that I liked so I stamped one inside instead.

Papertrey Ink November Blog Hop

Hello,

Today is PTI's November Blog Hop. This month we were given this gorgeous inspiration photo:

Blog Hop Inspiration

The blue and green color scheme on the white background inspired my card. Here it is:

I decided to use my PTI Comic Strip Coverplate as a starting point. I also used PTI's Cup of Cheer stamps and dies.....I love this set! Lastly, I added some sentiments from Paper Smooches Christmas Sampler Stamp set.

Well, I know you have lots more to see and probably lots of Thanksgiving prep to get to too! Even though I live in Canada, we will also be having a Thanksgiving feast tomorrow with some friends (my husband is American)! Can't wait!

MAKE IT MONDAY #231: MOTIF BUILDING

Hello,

I'm popping in with a last minute card for this week's Make It Monday over at PTI. I wasn't sure I was going to be able to make this technique work but after I got started I was pleased with my results.

Here is my card:

The stamps are all from PTI: Songbirds, Cup of Cheer and KIS Christmas, The ink colors are a mix of PTI and SU.

MAKE IT MONDAY #228: PEARLIZED BLENDING

Hello!

I am popping in with a quick project for this week's MIM. To be honest, I tried this technique a few different times and had difficultly coming up with something I was happy with. I think it is because I only own gold Perfect Pearls so I found everything ended up looking a bit muddy. Luckily my five year old assured me it looked good:)

I used some Vintage Jadeite Ink and Hawaiian Shores Ink along with my Birthday Style stamps and dies and came up with this tag:
