Retrosketches #121

Here is this week's sketch:

I needed to make a sympathy card to go in the mail so I had to make all these lovely layers as flat as possible. Here is my card:

I used PTI' s Woodgrain impression plate as well as PTI's Through the Trees and Words of Comfort stamp sets. The Trees are embossed in white and the patterend paper is from Fancy Pants.

Let's Try a Tag

There is a new challenge called Tag You're It Challenge! The challenge is to create a CAS tag project. They have a fabulous design team and an inspiration photo to boost your creativity. CAS is a challenge for me and I am always in need of tags so I hope to join in this one often! Here is this week's inspiration:

And here is my tag:

I used PTI's Tag Sale #5 as well as PTI's Tremendous Treats: Birthday stamps and dies. I used some SU Island Indigo cardstock and embossed it with a polka dot embossing folder.  I stamped the bird on some Echo Park patterned paper and adhered it to some velum. Lastly, I embossed the sentiment with some Zing! Rouge embossing power and added some ribbon from my stash.

I am also linking this up for PTI's Make it Monday #169: Velum Overlays.

Team cards

I work with several amazing women. As the school year comes to an end I like to give a little gift to show my appreciation for their hard work and friendship. Here are the cards I added to each gift:

I used some PTI cardstock and Echo Park Splendid Sunshine patterned paper. I also used a Paper Smooches Notebook Basics Die and PTI's Summer Sweetness stamps and dies. I added some Glossy Accents to the popsicle and a tiny clothespin to finish it off.

I decided to use the same layout and just changed the colors for each individual card....here are the rest of them:

Two for One

Hello!

Today I am playing along with Cure for the Monday Blues #22 and Retrosketches #120.

Here is my card:

I was visiting Leigh Penner's blog earlier this week and saw she was a guest designer for a challenge called Cure for the Monday Blues. I decided to join in this challenge for this first time!

The challenge was to use this this photo as inspiration:

I also decided to layout my card to play along with this week's retrosketch:

I was inspired by the light colors in the photo and combined PTI's Aqua Mist, Limeade Ice and SU's Crisp Cantaloupe on a PTI Soft Stone card base. I also used a piece of diagonal striped patterned paper (Fancy Pants I think....) just like the diagonal stripes in the photo. I embossed the sentiment (from PTI's Stylish Sentiments Birthday) in black as there are several dark accents in this picture. Lastly, I added some Glossy Accents, an SU button and some twine to a PTI Clip Tips die.

PTI June Blog Hop

Hello!

I am participating in Papertrey Ink's June Blog Hop. This month we were given an inspiration photo along with some color and layout sketches.

I chose these sketches as inspiration:

http://nicholeheady.typepad.com/.a/6a00d8341c64e753ef01a73dd982fd970d-pi

And here is my card:

I used my PTI Bubble Talk dies, Clip Tips stamps and dies as well as some sentiments from Phrase Play #4. I did some background stamping and used an impression plate on the largest bubble dies. I matted everything on a Lil' Inkers Stitched Rectangle which was backed with some Fancy Pants patterned paper. I also used some white and grapefruit embossing powder, enamel dots, glossy accents and of course dimensional adhesive. Whew!! I hope you like it!

CAS(E) this Sketch #80

Hello!

I am playing along with CASE this sketch this week.
Here is our sketch:

And here is my card:

I used my PTI Modern Cross Quilt Coverplate. I also used my PTI Ruby Rose stamp set and dies as well as a sentiment from A Few Pointers.

I made this card for my Aunt and Uncle's 60th Wedding Anniversary....I couldn't seem to find an appropriate sized "Happy Anniversary" sentiment (I don't have many) but I think this sentiment is perfect!
