Latte Love Watercolor

Hello, I made a card for this week's Make it Monday.  The challenge was to use a light colored ink and then watercolor your image. I haven't watercolored an image before so this was a first for me. I used the lightest color ink I own (PTI's Sweet Blush) to stamp the image.

I am also linking this up for this week's CAS(E) this Sketch #86. Here is the sketch that I just flipped around.

And here is my card:

I used PTI's Latte Love stamp set and watercolored the image using three SU inks (Real Red, Melon Mambo and Calyso Coral). I added some PTI cardstock strips in Raspberry Fizz and Melon Berry. I also added a RC banner and heart that I topped with a PTI Pure Poppy button and some twine from my stash.

PTI July Blog Hop

Hello,

I am playing along with PTI's July Blog Hop. This month we were give an inspiration photo. Here it is:

July Blog Hop Inspiration

I was inspired by the colors of the thread and the vintage feel of the photo. Yesterday, I saw this card and decided to use the same layout for my card. I had to do a little speed crafting to get my card done and a picture taken as it was a bit of a crazy day. I am glad I made it in time! Here is my card:

I used PTI's Sweet Blush, Pure Poppy and Aqua Mist cardstock along with some Echo Park and Carta Bella Patterned paper. This PTI stamp set happened to be laying on my desk and I thought it was perfect for the feel of this card. I added an Aqua Mist button some twine from my stash.

Summer Sweetness

Hello, I am back with a card for this week's Retrosketches. I love this challenge as it often inspires lots of layers and colors! Here is this week's sketch:

And here is my card:

I used PTI's white, Raspberry Fizz, Hawaiian Shores and Harvest Gold Cardstock. I also used some patterned paper from a Simple Stories paper pack.  I layered several papers then cut a banner (which I embossed with a PTI impression plate) and added a Velum circle. I used PTI's Summer Sweetness stamps and dies for the popsicles and of course heat embossed them with clear embossing powder because they look great all shiny! I also used  both a Reverse Confetti and PTI banner for the sentiment. Lastly, I added a button from my stash.

I am also linking this up for Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge which was to create a summer inspired project.

Cutrain Call - Anything Goes

Hello, I am playing along with this week's Curtain Call Inspiration Challenge. It is an "Anything Goes" challenge and here is our inspiration:

And here is my card:

I was inspired by all the neat rows of shelves, the abundance of white and the soft colors. I decided to use my PTI Modern Cross Coverplate with some Carta Bella Sew Lovely patterned paper. I diecut the SSS "happy" three times and layered them on top of each other for some dimension. I added a banner from Reverse Confetti, diecut in velum, behind the happy diecut as it was a bit hard to see against the patterend paper. Lastly, I added some shiny rhinestones/gems.

Thanks for visitng!

 And here is my card:

I made this card for a close friend of mine who is moving away for a year so her husband can go to school in another city. I am also planning to give her a small package of cards so that she can stay in touch with friends and family.

For this card I used PTI's Ruby Rose stamps and dies along with Scribble Circles. The sentiment is from PTI's Phrase Play #4.

Tag You're It Challenge #2

Hello, I am playing along with this week's Tag You're It Challenge. We were provided with another fabulous inspiration photo as well as a ton of inspiration from the Design Team. Here is this week's inspiration:

https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiEkz1Oh9ZBCo4cGrPMDbYXetAA5k9F7h2pnNKj8gvMsg_Lgam49k3jK9MoyUXxHHigPdWoxJ4GFbPgW9Ccr45Q3zG1-BhxiNzc2tW8NNbDTYL6MaamrvIOM4Y-kNR1S2RRlGrGrsZJFglq/s1600/TYIC_2.png

And here is my tag:

I know watercolor is all the rage right now so I decided to give it a try. I simply used some watercolor paper I had bought awhile ago at Michaels along with a waterbrush I have had for about 10 years and never used!

I used a few of my SU reinkers (Daffodil Delight, Calyso Coral and Tangerine Tango) to color the tag. I also used my Reverse Confetti Tag Me and Love Notes dies for the tag, the banner and the hearts. Lastly, I embossed the sentiment, from PTI's Keep It Simple: Thank You, in black and added some matching SU ribbon.

CAS(E) this Sketch #85

Can you tell I am on vacation? It is my second post for today! I am playing along with CASE this sketch this week. I am really going to try to do a CAS card for challenges that are looking for a CAS style. I actually find these cards hard to make so I will do my best!

Here is our sketch:

And here is my card:

I made this card for my husband's birthday next week. He is a "less is more" kind of guy. I used my SSS Circle Friends stamps set. It also has a cute sentiment that says "happy Bee day" that I stamped on the inside. I was tempted to add more "stuff" to it but decided to leave it as is.....what do you think? Is this CAS?

I heart Reverse Confetti

Hello! I got my first order of Reverse Confeti stamps and dies this week and I was so excited to try them out. I love the cute fonts and how the dies are so fantastic to layer. I decided to make a card for their July Color Challenge. Here is our inspiration photo:

http://reverseconfetti.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/07/July14Color.jpg

And here is my card;

I decided to make a 4 x 4 square card. I used the Love Note, Tag Me and Diagonal Panel dies. I masked part of a sentiment from the Label Me stamp set so it would fit on the banner. Lastly, I added a cute spiral paper clip from my stash.

Seeing Spots

Hello, I am playing along this week's Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge. Our challenge this week was to use dots and spots and a product from Paper Smooches.

I have a few PS products, I love their font and their cute designs! I have a friend that just moved into the same neighbourhood as me so I decided make her a card. Here it is:

The little house, mailbox and "congratulations" sentiment all are all from Paper Smooches. I also used some Simple Stories polka dot paper for the card base and to stamp the house on. The diecut clouds and the "on your new home" sentiment are both from PTI. I paper pieced a little red door onto the house as that is what my friend's new home looks like. I am sure she will like that!

Retrosketches #123

Good morning! I am playing along with this week's Retrosketches challenge.

Here is our sketch:

And here is my card:

I used some Carta Bella It's a Celebration patterned paper for my color palate and went from there. The little cake is from PTI's Foodie Fun and the sentiment is from Paper Smooches Sentiment Sampler. I diecut the banners from my PTI Sketched Shapes dies and added some enamel dots. I love enamel dots but have a hard time figuring out where exactly they should go on my cards!

Well I am off to the lake for another playdate with the kids!

And here is my card:

There was so much inspiration in this photo! I was inspired by the aqua background, the neat rows of shelves and the pops of color. I used my PTI Bubble Talk stamps and dies and the sentiment is from Paper Smooches. I added some glossy accents to the die cut hearts and some dimensional adhesive to the sentiment banner.

Our community center has playgroup for kids this morning so we are off to check that out!

CASE Study Challenge #199

Hello, I am playing along with this week's CASE study challenge ....this is a first for me!

Here is our inspiration:

There was also a TON of amazing projects from the Design Team. I was inspired by the use of many colorful circles on several projects and so here is my card:

I cut out a bunch of circles using an old circle punch from PTI's Melon Berry, Berry Sorbet, Raspberry Fizz and Pure Poppy cardstock. I ran them through my PTI Linen and Canvas Impression Plate for some texture. Then I die cut my SSS hello die a few times for added thickness with the top layer being cut on some bronze glitter paper.

Well I am on vacation for a couple weeks so it looks like we are off to the zoo with some friends! Have a great day!

Retrosketches #122

I made a card today for this week's Retrosketches challenge.

Here is the sketch:

And here is my card:

I decided to follow the sketch pretty closely and made a masculine card since I don't have any of these in my stash. I used my PTI Happy Hexagons coverplate, Big Ticket Basics stamps and dies and a Double Ended Banner die. I also embossed the stamped image in some clear embossing powder after stamping it first in orange then in Versamark. Finally, I tied some twine in a simple knot around the top.

I have one more day of work then I am off for two weeks! Looking forward to summertime fun with the kids and some more crafty time!

CAS(E) this Sketch #83

I am stopping in today with a card for this week's CASE this Sketch.

Here is the sketch:

And here is my card:

I just got this Basic Gray cardstock from SU and I am loving it! It fills a gap in my colors and I really think it goes with so many different color combos. I also used my new SU embossing folder and my PTI Pedal Pusher stamps and dies. The other colors I used are SU's Calypso Coral and Certainly Celery and the sentiment is on a tilted banner die from SSS. This card came together pretty quickly....which usually doesn't happen very often for me!

Challenge: White

I am popping in with a card I made for this week's Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge. The challenge is to use white. Easy Peasy right?  Here is my card:

I used my PTI Modern Cross Quilt Cover Plate for the card base. I also used my Simon Says Stamp Hello word die and Mini Heart die. I die cut both the word and the heart three times and stacked them on top of each other to add some dimension. The final hello was die cut from some silver glitter paper and I added some glossy accents to the red heart.

I am finding it so much easier to take photos at this time of year when it is bright outside til 10 o'clock!

CAS(E) this Sketch #82

The day may be almost over but Happy Canada Day!

It is the first day of July which means it is a holiday here in Canada. We had a great day grilling with neighbors and spent lots of time outside! That also means I had some time to craft this afternoon. Here is the sketch for this week's card:

And here is my card:

I used some Carta Bella Sew Lovely patterned paper that I adhered to some SU Basic Gray cardstock with dimensional adhesive. I used a The Cat's Meow Stamp set that I got for Christmas but have not had a chance to ink up yet. I  heat embossed the birdcage with gold embossing powder and fussy cut both the bird and the birdcage. I "hung" the birdcage on some twine from a brad and added some Wink of Stella glitter to the bird.

Thanks for stopping by....I will be back tomorrow!
