CAS(E) this Sketch #94

Hello!

So all the stamp companies have been coming with with their Christmas lines which has inspired me to get a head start on some Christmas cards. I don't have very many Christmas stamps but am sure to be adding more to my collection soon!

I just got PTI's Fancy Flakes dies from a friend who was selling theirs. I decided to put it to good use for this week's CASE this sketch!

Here is this week's sketch:

And here is my card:

I used some embossing paste and SSS' snow falling stencil to create the background. Then I diecut PTI's medium sized Fancy Flake die from some glitter paper and added the the banner with a simple sentiment.

I am stopping in with a last minute addition to this week's Retrosketches challenge. I made this card a few days ago but did not have time to photograph it until today!

Here is this week's sketch:

And here is my card:

I used some Echo Park patterned paper, a Reverse Confetti banner and a Paper Smooches sentiment. I I popped the banner up using some dimensionals and added some sparkly snowflakes that I got last year at Michaels.

I hope you have a fantastic weekend!

PTI September Blog Hop

Hello,

Today is PTI's September Blog Hop! This month we were given an inspiration photo along with three sketches and three color combos. I made a card using this sketch and color combo:

Color-recipe-2

And here is my card:

I diecut and stamped several different leaf patterns from my Mighty Oak set and then added an Autumn Rose banner with a sentiment from Through the Trees. I mounted everything to a Smokey Shadow cardbase. The sentiment is embossed in white and I  curved the banner with my fingers to add a bit of dimension.

The Cutting Edge Challenge #10

Hello,

I made a card for this week's Cutting Edge Challenge.  Here is our inspiration:

And here is my card:

I was inspired by the colors and the Autumn feel of the inspiration photo so I pulled out my PTI Mighty Oak stamps and dies. I forgot how many different leaf patterns this set has...it was fun to ink them up! I also used some distress ink on some PTI Spring Rain cardstock so the background was a little more subtle and not such a bright blue.

Lots of Love

Hello!

I am back with a card for Reverse Confetti's Color Challenge and this week's Freshly Made Sketches Challenge. I had the flu last week so there was no crafty time for me. Luckily, I am feeling much better and was able to enjoy the beautiful weather this weekend and get some crafty time in too!

Here is our inspiration for these two challenges which I combined:

Sept14Color

And here is my card:

I love this color combo! I used both a PTI and Reverse Confetti banner along with Reverse Confetti's Label Me Stamps and Dies and Diagonal Stripe Confetti Cut. I also added a little wooden clothespin.

Have a great week!

The Cutting Edge Challenge #9

Hello,

My aunt recently had knee surgery so I decided to make a card to send to let her know we are thinking of her.

I loved the cards from the design team over at the Cutting Edge Challenge this week. Here is the inspiration:

And here is my card:

I used a mix of PTI and SU cardstock as well as my PTI Button Stacks II dies which I layered and scattered along the top and the bottom of the card. I also added the diecut "hello" sentiment which is from Simon Says Stamp.

Freshly Made Sketches #151

Hello!

I hope you are enjoying your holiday Monday. We are busy getting ready for school which starts tomorrow!

I came across the Freshly Made Sketches challenge blog which is new to me so I thought I would play along. Unfortunately, I missed the deadline and did not get a chance to post my card.....but I thought I would still share it anyways!

Here was this week's sketch:

And here is my card:

I used some embossing paste for the first time! I bought it about 6 months ago and finally got around to using it. I made a stencil using my PTI Happy Hearts coverplate and used some embossing paste for the textured hearts. I really like the results and will be sure to use more again soon. After it dried, I layered on some Reverse Confetti dies and I embossed the sentiment, from Paper Smooches, in black.
